Software Developer & OpenSource/FreeSoftware Enthusiast

That's me

I’m a software developer from Graz, Austria, where I’m currently working for Netconomy Software & Consulting GmbH. While I started there as a Java developer working on hybris-based e-commerce solutions, after a couple of years I moved over to more frontendy grounds where I did projects with Sencha touch and ReactJS. Right now I’m working on our internal tools, services and frameworks 😃

Before that I studied Computer Science at the University of Klagenfurt.

In my spare time I organise PyGraz (the local Python usergroup we have in Graz) and help organising GoGraz (Go Usergroup Graz). Outside of these two languages I’m also trying to get into Elixir right now and enjoy getting to know new technologies and helping out in the opensource/free software community whenever I get the chance.

You can contact me via e-mail. If you want to do that in an encrypted way, my key's fingerprint is...

Reading list

These are the books I'm currently reading with some accompanying notes. These may contain spoilers. You've been warned 😉

  • Learning Swift by Paris Buttfield-Addison, Jon Manning, Tim Nugent

At WriteTheDocs 2016 in Portland two of this books authors gave a presentation but also advertised “Learning Swift” just a little bit. Their style was unique enough that I wanted to see how it would fare in an introductory book for a language.

  • Cooking for Geeks by Jeff Potter

Want to know why you do the things you sometimes do in the kitchen? Why do you have to heat some meals more than others? Looks like this book by Jeff Potter might answer these questions for me 😊
